After the Rain
The rain had just stopped, and the city polished every ordinary light until it shone again.
I did not leave home with a particular photograph in mind. After the rain, the road looked like photographic paper that had not fully developed, holding the lights and the long shadows of people passing by.
I like moments this brief: the city remains noisy, but the light makes it gentler than usual.
